Does the unicorn or horse tattoo have a meaning behind it?

I was one of those little girls who loved horses/unicorns and merry-go-rounds. It’s a reminder of my childhood and I how I hope to never lose my sense of imagination and possibility.

emily-april asked:
Hey Claire (: I don't know if anyone has asked this yet but where did you get your sun glasses. I've been seeing it in a couples of your vlogs and it looks really cute! (it's the creamy/peachy/pink ones lol) <so bad at descriptions.

I got them somewhere in downtown LA. They’re cheapy ones - less than 20$!

siamesee asked:
What kind of camera(s) do you use? I'm thinking about getting a new one that can record movies and take still images but I don't know where to start.

When I vlog I use a Canon Powershot ELPH E300HS. Everything else is shot with a Canon t3i.

Start with a good point & shoot like the Powershot. Until you gain a bit more experience with everything there’s no need to invest in a higher priced camera.

hi, claire! you're absolutely beautiful! i was just wondering what liquid liner you use? because every time i buy one, it tends to flake off or fade away in a couple of hours!

Milani Eye Tech Extreme :)

foreveryoung666 asked:
ok,so !how was high school for you ?teachers ,friends etc. what did you learn from high school?

To sum up my first two years, awkward. My last two, still awkward but I grew a lot. I was never popular or fit into any “cool” group. I wouldn’t say I was bullied but I was made fun of occasionally. I was a bit of a loner and jumped around from table to table (think Mean Girls) because I had friends in every “group”. Sad to think of it that way but high school can definitely feel segregated. As a person who grew up mostly overseas, I was not used to that whatsoever so when I came to the states to complete high school it was a big learning experience. I ended up transferring Junior year to a smaller private school and I was able to excel both academically and personally.

I was never a scholar. I did well enough to pass (with the exception of math and sciences which I usually aced) but I have only been on honor roll a hand full of times haha.

So what did I learn? High School is an experience and I think by the time you graduate you’re only beginning to discover who you are as a person. It’s different for everyone but if you make it through, you’ve got so many opportunities ahead of you and so many paths to chose from. For me, High School is a distant memory and I don’t stay in touch with anyone or honestly really care about a majority of the people I knew back then. I’ve gone on to bigger better things and chose not to live in the past.

Hey! I got my nose ring pierced about 4 months ago! I accidentally bumped it and got a red bump on it. How long did yours take to heal? How did you clean it? & where did you get your hoop? Thank you so much! Love your YouTube channel, I'm obsessed (:

I can’t remember how long it took to fully heal but I used Bactine on a qtip to clean the area. As for my hoop, I think I got it at a piercing shop or kiosk at the mall. I asked for a small gauged continuous hoop (one that doesn’t have a ball or anything) but if you can’t find one you may be able to get a hoop that has the ball but not use the ball. It’s just sometimes harder to squeeze the hoop closed.

Are you, 25?

Nope!

I’m curious to know why people want to know my age so badly? Even a friend of mine said someone visited their site because they searched google for “how old is claire marshall makeup artist?” haha!

hakuna-matata626 asked:
I'm planning on getting my first tattoo on my upper arm(on sunday), how much does it hurt? .__.

I don’t know how much it will hurt for you, but there are worse places to get tattooed.

Anonymous asked:
Where did you get your thumb ring and where do you get most of your plain rings from, like your thumb one and your above the knuckle ones? :)

I’m pretty sure I got mine at one of those small kiosk in the mall. I didn’t go anywhere special.

Never stop learning, do it whenever you can.

Claire, could you please tell me where you like to shop at? I love your sense of style!

I shop many places but recently a lot of my clothes have come from UO, NastyGal, Brandy Melville, Forever21 and the occasional thrift/vintage find. x

hi! I am an aspiring makeup artist (and hairstylist) but I was wondering, how did you get out there into the freelance business. I'm currently in school and trying to get a job at either the mac store in macys or sephora. And I was just wondering how, as an artist. you got into the freelancing field. If you don't mind. :P

I basically decided to become a freelance makeup artist after I got sick of working full time doing something I hated. I took a chance on an uncertain future - it’s not an easy path but if you love it and have the means to do it, go for it! You have to be willing to work hard and try to make it happen! x

tacotinks asked:
Hello Claire:) I've always loved how you do your eyeliner! Can you give me some tips on how to get the shape right? They always say just line it up from your bottom eye line, but i can never get them equal. Also, it gets kind of crooked and I can't really do a cat eye well... Please!

will do a tutorial on this soon, it’s hard to explain everything I want to explain just by typing it out haha. One of the main things I would suggest is to occasionally take a step back and look at yourself straight forward in a mirror. You want to relax your eyes so you see how the line is ‘sitting’ accurately. That way you can determine where you need to add/take away and you’re more likely to achieve symmetry.
